Encouragement Card Hop

Hello Friends, Welcome to Pops of Paper! I’m so happy you’ve stopped by and that you are joining us for the Encouragement Card Hop! The Encouragement Card Hop is different than the typical hop. It’s not a blog hop or video hop, it’s a card hop that was created to showcase all crafters who love to design and create happy mail.

Encouragement. It can be transformational for many of us and I am awed by the encouragement, kindness and support that our card making, stamping, paper crafting village has created. I thought for this hop I would share my story of Encouragement through two cards. The first card was my first card…EVER posted on Instagram. I was very nervous to share my work and what happened next filled my heart…I started to receive encouragement from others in the community. These small acts of encouragement convinced me to keep posting, to keep sharing and to participate more. And here we are today; I have been inspired everyday from this awesome community and I’ve made amazing friendships. I even achieved my goal to be a Design Team member. So THANK YOU to everyone who encouraged me with little acts of kindness because those little hearts and kind words in your comments, have encouraged me to keep calm and creating! Thank you for being here today and please don’t stop passing along all the goodness that this amazing community has to offer. The artists/creatives/crafters (whatever your fancy) on this hop have created amazing works of art and I can’t wait to pay it forward. Give a little heart, a little comment and share your favorites with your friends!

MY FIRST INSTAGRAM CARD POST

My first EVER post using the Pretty Pink Posh Woodland Critters stamp set. At this time, I had no idea what or how to mask a stamp, didn’t own a single Copic marker, what in the world is embossing powder, what are stand-alone/frame/layering dies and I had no idea how many amazing stamp companies existed.

TODAY’S CARD

I thought I would use the same well-loved Pretty Pink Posh Woodland Critters stamp (lost that cute little butterfly along the way…so I used a cute bumblebee image from the Birthday Scene Stamp Set from PPP). I used a little bit of masking, more than a few Copic markers, a heat embossed sentiment and layered die cuts from SugarPea Designs. But still a sweet and soft card with an adorably curious bear reminding us that “You are Wonderful”. Looking back I LOVE that first card even more. 🙂
