Filigree Cardmaking Kit Inspiration

You can pre-assemble everything and then let your recipient select the sentiments to send along based on the needed occasion. I’ve assembled all the pieces together for inspiration, but as a gift set I would place the die-cut sentiments+foam adhesive squares in a glassine bag.

I created a couple gift set combinations: (1) A duo based on color (2) A trio of gold foiled backgrounds or (3) A trio of the Stamped Filigree background & Simple Strips.

I used Gold Deco Foil on all three Foil-it Backgrounds Gold & Teal Foil for the All Together Foil-It Sentiments. I ran each panel through my Minc Mini at a heat setting of 4.

For the Mulled Wine Duo, I adhered the For You Envelope Seal to a Mulled Wine Scallop Circle with a Gold Happy Birthday Sentiment and attached it to the center of the Gold Foiled Background Panel. I stamped the Filigree Background Stamp in Mulled Wine, attached two 1/4” Mulled Wine and one 1/2” Pink Champagne Cardstock Strips with a Mulled Wine Friendly Filigree Frame and Gold Congrats Sentiment.

For the Tropical Punch Duo, I added a Teal Foil Thinking Of You sentiment to the center of the envelope that I adhered to a gold rectangle in the center of the Gold Foil Filigree Panel. I stamped the Filigree Background Stamp in Blue Raspberry, attached two 1/4” Tropical Punch and one 1/2” Blue Raspberry Cardstock Strips with a Sugar Cube Friendly Filigree Frame and Teal Just a Note Sentiment.

For the Blue Corn Duo, I adhered the For You Envelope Seal to a Gold Foil Die Cut, covered For You with a Hello Friend Gold Foiled Sentiment and attached seal to the center of the Gold Foiled Background. I stamped the Filigree Background Stamp in Blue Corn Ink and attached two 1/4” Blue Corn and one 1/2” Gumball Cardstock Strips with a Blue Corn Friendly Filigree Frame and a Gold Thank You Sentiment.

To finish the notecard set, I wrapped the Gift It Filigree Belly band in Gold Foil Cardstock around a clear box with a white Friendly Filigree Frame & Gold Foil Just For You Sentiment.

Taylored Expressions Perfect Present-ation Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday!! Oh, my goodness the latest holiday release from Taylored Expressions is awesome…especially if you love creating paper trinkets and gifts for the holidays..ornaments, gift card holders, gift wrapping, tags, treat holders and new foiling goodies!

I’m a Hugger Purrfect Kitty & Pawsome Pup

On my goodness, the Hugger Dies are Purr-fect as gift card holds and they make for a super Pawsome bookmark. I think it would be super fun to include a Bookstore Gift card in the envelope or adhered directly to the hugger with removable tape or dots. This way it’s a two-for-one…cute gift card holder and bookmark! For each of my cards, I adhered the cat & dog (plus paws) to the card base using removable glue dots.

For the the cute Santa Pup Card, I used Sea Salt & Sugar Cube cardstock and using the coordinating clear stamp I added the paws in Sea Salt and face with Oreo ink. I used cupcake cardstock for the ears and colored the nose with a black Copic marker. For his pom-pom cute hat, I used Cherry Pop & Sugar Cube cardstock and adhered a Bunny Tail to the top. I created Santa’s belt using the Santa’s Suite Die Set with Oreo & Silver foil cardstock that I adhered to a mini red envelope. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Holiday set that I stamped with Sugar Cube Ink.

For the cute Kitty Mini Slim Card, I used Buttercream cardstock that I ink blended with a mix of Honey, Peaches n’ Cream and Toffee. I used the clear stamp with Honey ink for the paws and stripes. The nose and ears were die cut in Cupcake card stock. For extra cuteness, I added the Bunny Tail Pom Pom to kitty’s hat, rosy cheeks and a Noel Envelope Seal to the gold shimmer mini envelope.

Woodland Reindeer Snowflake Greetings

Foil without a heat source?! Yes, Please!! The Thermo-Web Adhesive Transfer Sheets are such a cool new product—all you need is Deco Foil & your die cutting machine to apply the pressure needed to adhere the foil to the design.

For the Foil-Adhesive to work all you need to do is cut out the Adhesive transfer, line-up the outline of the image where you want the foil to go on your cardstock and run it through your die cutting machine with a standard metal shim sandwich. Remove the plastic film to reveal the adhesive. Then place your Deco Foil (pretty side up) over the adhesive/image and run it through your die cutting machine which will add just the right amount of pressure to adhered the foil to the adhesive. Remove the foil to reveal a beautiful shimmer and shine outline and/or snow flake images and sentiments.

For my red & white Woodland Reindeer duo, I stamped the reindeer in Cherry Pop Ink and added Silver Foil as the outline. For the full silver foiled reindeer, I adhered the silver reindeer outline negative piece of foil to a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock & a TE Sticky Sheet. Then I die cut each of the reindeers using the coordinating Woodland Reindeer dies. To the silver foiled reindeer, I added red tiny diamonds for a little extra pop. For the card backgrounds, I stamped Snow Day in Cherry Pop ink. I used silver foil for the Season’s Greetings sentiment and silver embossing powder for the “Let the Reindeer Fly” sentiment. Then I put both cards together using Rectangle and Oval Stitched Stacklets and Cherry Pop Card bases.

Rainbow Christmas Tree Treat Holders

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree how wonderful you look in Rainbow 🙂 These Christmas Tree Holders are supper easy and fun to make and are the perfect size for yummy little chocolates and candies. I look forward to making many more in tradition colors too with peppermint bark candies when they finally hit the shelves.

For the three ink-resist rainbow trees, I stamped all the tree images from the Tree Lot Stamp set in VersaMark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder and cut the tree out using the triangle shape from the Tree Treat Holder die set. Then ink blended the rainbow using bitty blender brushes and then used a microfiber cloth to “buff” off any ink from the white embossed outlines. Then I adhered the triangle trees to a Jelly Donut, Strawberry Milkshake and Cookie Monster Tree Treat Holder die cut and adhered the tips of the tree with a glue dot.

For the rainbow tree, I die cut the Tree Treat holder in Sugar Cube cardstock and ink blended all the rainbow colors to both triangle points of the tree using bitty blender brushes. Then I stamped the bottle brush tree design from the Tree Lot Stamp set with VersaMark ink to vellum and white heat embossed. I adhered the vellum tree to the rainbow trees holder by placing little beads of liquid adhesive behind the white embossed impression…this little trick hides the adhesive so it doesn’t show through the vellum.

I added a silver or gold glitter cardstock star die cut from the Tree Treat Holder die set and adhered each star with a glue dot. For even more tree cuteness, I adhered the Accordion Tree Trunks using liquid matte medium.

Happy World Card Making Day!

Hi Friends and Happy World Card Making Day! Are you in the craft room this weekend to celebrating?! Taylored Expressions has a special Wold Cardmaking Day release today along with a one-day offer (see the end of the post for the promo).

The Falling for You Release includes a new Triple Slim Stencil + Clear stamp that’s perfect for autumn-themed cards. Plus, a new Fall Flurry coordinating die and Happy Harvest Sentiments+Dies.

I used three ink colors for my trio of mini slim cards and I love how they look on their own plus blended together for a deep fall red/orange: Sweet Potato Pie, Raspberry Sorbet & Chocolate Truffle. I used both Blender Brushes and Bitty Blender Brushes to add dimension to the ink blending.

Once I had all the background panels completed, I added in the leaf veins using the clear stamp set. I stamped the Happy Harvest sentiments in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed in Rose Gold Embossing Powder. Then I cut each sentiment using the Happy Harvest Coordinating Dies.

I added the Thankful for you sentiment to a small Vellum & Sweet Potato Stitched Rectangle Fame. I die cut the background panel using the Stitched Mini Slim Rectangle Die and adhered it to a Sweet Potato Pie Stitched Scalloped Frame. To finish the card, I added Bits & Pieces Pearls and attached the decorated panel to a white top fold mini slim card base.

I added the Autumn Blessings sentiment inside the stenciled leaf borders and just offset to the right. I added Rose Gold Foil leaves from the Fall Flurry die set next to the sentiment and for a little something extra I added two Bits & Pieces Pearls to the center of the leaves.

I added the Give Thanks sentiment just below the branch or as I kept seeing “leaves blowing in the wind” on my third Mini Slim stenciled background. I loved the Rose Gold with this color trio, so I added several Rose Gold Foil leaf die cuts and and Bits & Pieces Pearls.
