Stamping in Flowers: Catherine Pooler Grace in Bloom Floral Stamp Set

Hi Friends and Welcome to Pops of Paper. This weekend I spent some time playing with new stamps that I recently purchased during the Catherine Pooler Flutters & Blooms New Release. When I saw the Grace in Bloom Floral stamp set in the recent Catherine Pooler release, I new it needed a home in my stamp collection. I absolutely love poppies and as I wait for mine to bloom in my garden, coloring the beautiful images in this set is almost as good as the real thing. This is such a gorgeous image that it makes a beautiful one layer card with lots of pop!

To create my card, I stamped the image with VersaFine Nocturne Clair Ink. Then I water colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in reds and greens (Geranium Red, Deep Red, Carmine Red, Wine Red, Green, Deep Green). For a little extra dimension after coloring, I added black stipples (dots) with a pen. Then I added a bright and cheerful yellow polka dot background for an extra punch of color. I stamped the sentiment over the floral image and then for extra dimension I added a few petite yellow sequins from the Catherine Pooler Paisley Park sequins mix. To finish the card, I adhere the decorated card panel to a black card base.

Thank you for stopping by Pops of Paper. I hope you enjoyed my card today and it inspires you to create a one-layer floral card with bright and cheerful pops of color. Below are a few of the products that I used for my project today (it’s a mix of affiliate (at no cost to you) and non-affiliate links…thank you so much for your support).
