Big in Bloom Thank You

To get started with this project, I placed an A2 SugarCube Panel into my MISTI and used the Thank You stencil as my alignment guide—positioning the Thank You stamp inside the outline of the stencil. This step perfectly places the stamped image so you can stencil to your hearts content all the beautiful florals around and inside the sentiment! I removed the alignment stencil and stamped the Thank You Sentiment in Blue Raspberry ink.

For the stenciled florals, I used the Bitty Blender Brushes and Rose Water, Strawberry Milkshake, Lollipop, Lemon Meringue, Sprinkles & Granny Smith. I cut out the design using the largest Petite Scallop Stacklet which I stacked to a Cookie Monster card base with TE 1 x 3 foam strips. For extra dimension, I added several 5-point flowers in pink, guava and yellow with foam dots and little pink Diamonst to the center of the largest Rose Water background flowers.

Envelope Seal Thank You Cards

I used the two different envelope seal designs as the focal point for my first two cards—the first envelope seal was placed in the center of the Farmhouse Wreath and the second envelope seal in the center of the Stitched Frame Stacklets 3 Scallop Die Cut. For the floral background and flowers on the wreath, I stenciled two panels of flowers & leaves using the Awesome Blossoms Layering Stencil with Bitty Blender Brushes and Rose Water, Strawberry Milkshake, Lollipop, Guava, Lemon Meringue, Sprinkles, Granny Smith, Cilantro inks. Then using the Awesome Blossoms die, I was able to cut out 28 flowers, stems & leaves. That’s 14!! flowers, leaves & stems from one panel—Super Awesome!

For extra texture and dimension, I white heat embossed the Rough Draft Background to a SugarCube Card Panel. Then I adhered all the pretty flowers to the embossed background with liquid adhesive placing the pretty rose gold sequins in the extra white spaces. To finish the card, I added the scalloped envelope seal thank you with thin foam adhesive to the top center and added the decorated panel to a Lemon Meringue card base.

The Farmhouse Wreath was stamped with Oreo ink to SugarCube Cardstock that I die cut using the largest Rectangle Stitched Stacklet. Using liquid adhesive, I adhered the pretty flowers to the bottom left side of the wreath and for extra pop I added Tiny Diamonds to the center of the stenciled flowers and to the red flower centers on the envelope seal. To finish the card, I adhered the decorated panel with TE 1×3 foam strips to a Guava tone-on-tone stamped Rough Draft Background.

I hope you enjoyed my bright and cheerful Thank You In Bloom Card Set! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Taylored Expressions blog and Taylored Expression for more Creative Team Inspiration and a look at the entire new release! Big Paper Hugs!

Taylored Expressions Autumn New Release Inspiration

Hi Friends & Happy Tuesday! The new Autumn Release is now available at Taylored Expressions with everything you need to create fall-themed projects with gorgeous leaf dies, the cutest critters and characters, beautiful background stamps, new Foil Panels and Sentiments!! Today, I’m sharing projects using the Mosaic Beech Leaf Die Set and the A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E Woodland Squad Dies. So let’s get started with the Autumn Release Inspiration!

Mosaic Beech Leaf Die Set

To create the fall sunset ombré background, I ink blended pinks and mauve inks: Rose Water, Cupcake, Pink Champagne, Raspberry Sorbet, Mulled Wine and Mocha to a Sugar Cube A2 Card Panel. The beech leaves were cut from Sugar Cube Cardstock and adhered with liquid adhesive to a vellum die-cut Beech Leaf backer.

I arranged the leaves into an organic falling leaves design along the right-side and bottom of the pink ombré ink panel. Using the Mini Minc Machine, I foiled the Grateful Greetings Foil It panel with Rose Gold Foil, die cut using the Grateful Greetings dies and adhered to the center of the design using thin 3D foam squares. To finish the card, I added splatters of Gold Gansai Paint and White Rhinestones.

Woodland Squad Die Set (perfect for Tags & Cards)

The Squad Series has a new set of the most adorable Woodland Critters that are perfect for Fall & Winter Seasons (I also can’t wait to use the deer and fox for springtime cards—super cute for baby cards). I had so much fun with this die set that I have three card designs for each Woodland Critter to share with you. Each critter was die cut with Sugar Cube cardstock which I then colored using ink and the Bitty Blender Brushes. To celebrate the new Buttercream Ink Color (High-Five!!) I also incorporate pieces of Buttercream cardstock and ink-blended pieces to each of the critters.

Thanksgiving Fox: I combined the Woodland Fox with the gorgeous Four Seasons Stamp & Stencil Combo.

  • Fox Ink Colors: Pumpkin, Sweet Potato and Cupcake Cheeks
  • Background Ink Colors: Copper Embossing Powder, Honey, Sweet Potato, Peaches n’ Cream, Spearmint, Raspberry Sorbet, Dried Fig

Merry Moose: I had to combine Woodland Moose with a red & black Buffalo Plaid Background for a warm and cozy holiday card.

  • Moose Ink Colors: Mushroom (Body), Mocha (Antlers), Buttercream Frosting and Copic R20 Cheeks

Floral Deer: For the woodland deer, I went with a regal floral rose gold & mulled wine color palette using the Ginkgo Background Stamp & Diamond Botanical Foil It Panel.

  • Deer Ink Colors: Mulled Wine, Chocolate Truffle, Buttercream & Cupcake Cheeks
  • Background: VersaMark Ink on Mulled Wine Cardstock

Taylored Expressions Halloween Release

EEK! I’m so excited to share with projects using the Halloween Release from Taylored Expressions. Halloween is one of my favorite crafting holidays and this release has so many Spooktacular cardmaking goodies!!

TriFold Stack-O-Jacks

The Stack-O-Jacks Stamp, Stencil and Die is just the cutest and it looks adorable peeking through a Spooky Trifold Mini Slim window. To create the Oreo/Black Trifold pane, I cut an 8.5×11 piece of Oreo Cardstock to 6 x 10.5 inches and scored at 3.5 inches on either side. Then I used the Square Mini Slim Trifold Template+Dies to create Square Windows for the pumpkins to peek through.

For the front of the Trifold card, I used the Mini Slim Spiderweb Stencil with Poppy Seed Ink and added a Tropical Punch Happy Halloween white heat embossed Stitched Rectangle Sentiment.

The second inside panel was decorated with an Orange Glitter Cardstock Square Frame (created using the Square Trifold Dies) & Boo Script die cut plus sparkly Bits & Pieces Halloween Stars & Sparkles.

For the inside panel, I heat embossed the Twinkle Twinkle background with the new TE Fine Detail Black Sparkle Embossing Powder and then adhered the Stack-O-Jacks image and Simple Strip Halloween “You’re Spooktacular” Sentiment. Doesn’t that starry night looks so cool with the Black Sparkle Embossing powder, I wish my photo had sparkle vision.

For the stenciling, I used only one ink color: Candy Corn with less pressure for the lighter pumpkins and more pressure+ink color for the darker pumpkins. For the faces and hat I used Poppy Seed Ink and filled in the leaves with a green Copic marker. For the finishing touch, I add googly eyes to the second pumpkin in the stack.

Tip Trick: I try to clear heat emboss all my stenciled black ink impressions so the black ink doesn’t run into the ink blended colors. I usually stamp all my stenciled images with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. When using Oreo Ink (rather than Clair which is a slower drying pigment ink), I make two impressions (to add a little extra ink for the embossing powder to hold on to) and immediately heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Trick or Treat Stack-O-Jacks

My second Stack-O-Jacks was ink blended with all the oranges: Candy Corn, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato + for extra shading some Plump Punch and Oreo for the faces/hat. For a little extra sparkle, I added Dark Matter Stickles to the Witches Hat and googly eyes to the second pumpkin.

I added the Stack-O-Jacks to a vellum mini slim rectangle and one of the Create-in-Quads-Halloween Background panels created with Tropical Punch, Passion Fruit, Poppy Seed and Candy Corn Ink. The sentiment was white heat embossed on Passion Fruit cardstock and die cut using a Square Stitched Stacklet.

Trick or Treats Halloween Candy Capsules

I LOVE the Stack-O-Jacks sentiments so much that I white heat embossed Happy Halloween to several fun Halloween cardstock colors and die cut them with the Rectangle Stitched Stacklets.

After folding and adhering the capsules together, I adhered the Happy Halloween sentiments to one side of the Candy Capsules. I also added the cute ghosts from Ghost Gang Die & Clear Combo to the sentiments and small little tags (the ghosts fit perfect on the smaller Tags and Itty Bitty Tags too). The capsules were finished with ribbon and twin to secure all the yummy candies inside.

Trick or Treat Halloween Monster Squad

Oh My Spooky Googly Eye Sweetness these Monsters are SO CUTE!! For my card, I started by die cutting the Monster Squad bodies, horns antennas is all the Halloween Colors: Cookie Moster (of course), Sweet Potato Pie, Lollipop, Key Lime and Plum Punch. Then the eye, teeth and mouths in Oreo and Sugar Cube Cardstock. Then I had fun putting all the different pieces to create each individual monster with liquid adhesive and adhered them to a mini slim panel.

To finish each of the Monsters, I added Googly eyes from my stash and the perfect sentiment strips for these hungry goofy monsters in white embossed Tropical Punch & Sweet Potato Pie.
