Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday!! It’s Christmas Release Day at Taylored Expressions and there are SO many fun stamps, dies and stencils! I can’t wait to show you what I made. Today, I have projects using the new Create-in-Quads Peaceful Pines Layering Stencil, Dancing Penguins, Botanical Noel Foiled Cards, Candy Canes and the cutest little holiday town. Peaceful Pines & Dancing Penguins
Dashing and dancing through the lavender fresh snow covered treetops! I used the Create-in-Quads Peaceful Pines Layering Stencil to create the four card backgrounds for the cute dancing penguins. I ink blended jewel tone ink colors with TE Blender Brushes for the trees and used a Nuvo Spatula to add a layer of new Fresh Snow Happy Medium over Lavender Glaze Ink.
I stamped the Penguins from Dancing Through the Snow in Oreo Ink and colored with purple, pink and teal Copic Markers. Then I had a blast adding the penguins to the tree backgrounds.
The silver embossed sentiments are all from the super cool all in one All Together Stamp stamp that has a coordinating all in one die. One stamped impression, creates 10 sentiments with one turn through your die cutting machine. Perfect for mass producing cards!!
A Merry & Bright Candy Cane Christmas
I’m so excited that pieces from the Candy Cane Lane Kit are now available for purchase plus the NEW Candy Cane Lane Cling and Clear Stamp set. I love these background stamps that give you a solid background and then the white space to add in color to the images.
I stamped the background with Blue Raspberry ink and then used the clear stamp to add the Red & Pink peppermint stripes. I stamped the starburst clear stamp in Blue Raspberry between the candy canes along with Peppermint Bits & Pieces embellishments. I added the pink candy cane stripe background using the Striped Squares stencil and strawberry milkshake ink. To finish the card, I added the background to a white scalloped frame with a red & white embossed sentiment from All Together Stamp & Coordinating die.
A Very Merry Tiny Town Mini Slim Card
Let’s take a drive to the Tiniest Christmas town. The Endless Christmas images are not only great for envelopes, they are the perfect size for Mini Slim Cards and the whimsical trees are the perfect backdrop for the Tiny Town Die Cut Images. To create my Very Merry Christmas scene, I added the snow using the TE Snowfall embossing folder and a snowdrift at the bottom of the scene from the Snow Drifts Build A Scene die set.
I cut all of the tiny houses and cute car from Sugar Cube card stock and colored with bright & cheerful Copic markers in reds, purples, pinks and teals plus brown and gray for the chimneys and housetops.
Then I adhered all the colorful houses to their white card stock backer pieces. Then I adhered the little town to the mini slim snowy backdrop using liquid adhesive. For a little extra whimsy, I added Silver Bits & Pieces to the red car tires and Bits & Pieces Snowflakes to add a few more flurries. To finish the card, I added the Merriest Christmas Silver Foiled Sentiment and placed the decorated panel on a Cookie Monster scalloped frame & Dried Fig card base.
Noel Foil & Stenciled Jewel-Tone Cards
While I love cute and fun holiday designs, I love cards with beautiful holiday greenery. For my Noel Foil & Stenciled Cards, I went with a jewel-tone green & purple holiday color story. I ran the Noel Foil-It Panel through the Mini Minc Machine (heat setting 4) to add Lilac & Jade foil shimmer and shine.
For the greenery, I used the Noel Stencil & Clear Combo with my favorite green ink color combo Cilantro+Key Lime+Cookie Monster, Lime Zest+Key Lime and Dried Fig+Macaron. To finish each of the card, I added a Toffee Scallop Frame with a Poblano Pepper & Dried Fig stitched border.
