Taylored Expressions Black Friday Winterberry Stamp Inspiration

Hi Friends—Have you done all your crafting Black Friday shopping? I have to admit it’s one of my favorite times to stock up on all the cardmaking goodies I’ve had my eye on. Taylored Expressions has some great deals including the Winterberry Background Stamp with qualifying purchase.

The Winterberry Background is perfect for creating winter holiday backgrounds but I did a little color twist for an Everyday Occassion Thinking of You Card using Cilantro and Pink Champagne with Rose Gold Embossing Powder. I started by stamping the Winterberry Stamp with VersaMark Ink to Cilantro Cardstock and heat embossed with Rose Gold Embossing Powder. To give the background dimension, I ink-blended Cilantro ink over the embossed images and buffed off the ink from the rose gold embossing with a microfiber cloth.

Then I used the Rectangle Stacklets to create a double frame from the Winterberry Cilantro Stamped Background and Pink Champagne Cardstock. I stamped & heat embossed the berry branches image from the Bold Branches stamp set in Rose Gold and cut using the coordinating die. I then tucked the branches into the top right and bottom left corners of the double frame. To finish the card, I added a Champagne Foiled Thinking of You Sentiment to the center of the card design using thin 3D foam adhesive.

So there we are friends, I pretty in pink and green Thinking of You Card Design. I hope you enjoyed my project today. Be sure to check out the Taylored Expressions Blog for more Winterberry inspiration from the TE Creative Team. Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!

Taylored Expressions Season of Crafting—Building Blocks!

Hi Friends! I’m back today sharing more Season of Crafting Inspiration and the star of the show: Building Blocks Sentiments. Today, I have three cards all using the ONE Building Block Sentiment Set—The Cool Additions Building Block Set! I love how you can get SO many sentiment combinations from one set of Building Blocks.

For both cards, I stamped the Cool Additions Building Block with VersaMark ink to Oreo Cardstock (being sure to apply the TE Anti-Static tool first), covered in TE White Fine Detail Embossing Powder and then used a heat tool to embossing the sentiments. Once the sentiments cooled down a bit, I used the Building Block Die to cut out all the word blocks.

For my first set of cards, I paired the Black & White Embossed Cool Additions Building Blocks with bright and cheerful rainbow horizontal and cool hues diagonal Easy Strips backgrounds. I love how the Black & White Embossed sentiments pop off of the colorful strips of cardstock. Especially with the clean and simple white background.

And for a little extra black and white pop I added black star embellishments from Halloween Stars & Sparkles bits and pieces. This is such a fun and simple way to create several everyday occasion clean and simple cards with big impact.

For my third card, I paired the Black & White Embossed BIRTHDAY building block from the Cool Additions set with the On the Block HAPPY Stamp + Die Cut. To created the bright star background, I stretched the Spooky Nights Layering Stencil from Halloween to Birthday with a rainbow ink palette of Plum Punch, Lollipop, Fruit Punch, Pineapple, Cookie Monster and Jelly Donut. Love giving my supplies a color workout! Using my MISTI, I stamped HAPPY twice with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and die cut using the Happy Shadow Coordinating Die. To finish the card, I adhered an Oreo A2 Thin Frame and adhered the decorated panel to Sugar Cube (White) cardbase.

So there we are three bright and happy cards using the Cool Additions Building Blocks & Building Block Dies.

Pinkfresh Studio November Release Blog Hop

Hi Friends! I hope you’re enjoying the Pinkfresh Studio November Release Blog Hop! I’m thrilled to be joining the hop and sharing four cards using the Modern Design Blocks Hot Foil Plate+Stencils, Quadrant Backdrop+Coordinating Cut+Stencils, You’re the Best Stamp+Coordinating Cut and the Jeff Alpha Standalone Cuts.

Modern Design Block Holiday JOY

My first set of cards are perfect for the holiday season. I love stretching my supplies so I created two cards from one piece of red hot foil by using the “negative-leftover” piece of red foil. I started by foiling the Modern Design Block Hot Foil Stamp in red foil to a piece of white cardstock which created a beautiful shiny red outline.

Using the coordinating stencils and blending brushes, I added festive Pinkfresh Studio red, green and teal inks to the panel.

For the second panel, I used the Solid Hot Foil Plate to apply the negative-remanent piece of hot foil to create the full shiny red & white background panel.

For the sentiments, I used the new Jeff Alpha and die cut the letters J-O-Y from red and white card stock for both the shadow and inly letters.

Quadrant Backdrop Thank You

I created my second set of cards using the Quadrant Backdrop Hot Foil Plate, Stencil & Coordinating Cut. I hot stamped the Quadrant Backdrop image in silver foil. Using the coordinating stencils, I used a rainbow of ink colors for my first card and cool blue tones for the second card.

I also used the coordinating die to cut-out the full design so I could pop it up from the panel using fun foam and foam squares. The Fun Scripty-Font Thank you Sentiment is from the You’re the Best Stamp & Coordinating Cut. I then adhered the Thank You die cut to a stack of Vellum Circles and for the blue tone card, I snuck in a piece of silver foil cardstock.

I can’t wait to create a ton of different cards using different color combinations with this set. I think it’s the perfect pattern for more masculine cards…but of course I had to sneak in a rainbow everything version too.

Hot Foil Stamping Details
