Taylored Expressions Modern Eucalyptus Cardmaking kit Inspiration

Just For You

I stretched my supplies from kit by using the Just For You Envelope Seal as the sentiment focal point AND I used the Blonde Metallic Envelope as my die cut paper for the inner Gemstone Thin Cutting Plate Frames. The finishing card details was a gold foil cardstock Gemstone Thin Frame, Diamond Stitched Detailing and a Spearmint A2 Thin Frame Border. To finish the card, I attached the decorated panel to a Poblano Pepper card base.

Always and Forever

It was super easy to create a beautiful Eucalyptus Wreath using the Foil-It Panel and the Modern Eucalyptus Layering Stencil and Coordinating die collection. I used TE Bitty Blender Brushes to layer on Spearmint and Mint Julep greenery. For the silver leaves I used the Oyster Ink with a layer of Silver Happy Glitter Medium that I applied with a Nuvo Spatula. After waiting for the glitter medium to dry, I cut out the greenery with the Modern Eucalyptus Die collection. Without adhering anything in place, positioned the greenery around the Silver Foiled design and with the help of the TE MISTI Clear Alignment Panels, I determined where to place the Always & Forever Sentiment which I stamped in Spearmint Ink. I then used liquid adhesive and foam squares to adhered the greenery to the wreath and for extra dimension and detail, I adhered TE Tiny Diamonds in two shades of green in clusters of two and three along the stenciled branches. To finish the card, I adhered the decorated Foil-It Panel to Spearmint Cardbase.

Happy Birthday To You

I wanted to “branch” out a bit from the traditional Eucalyptus Colors and create a bright and cheerful Gold Foil & Rainbow Birthday Card Panel. I first used the Mini Minc (setting 4) to apply the gold foil to the Circle Eucalyptus Design. Then using TE Bitty Blender Brushes and the Modern Eucalyptus Layering Stencil, I added Lollipop, Lemon Meringue and Cookie Monster Inks. For the sentiment, I used the TE MISTI Clear Alignment Panels and MISTI to stamp Happiest Birthday To You in the center of the design. I cut the panel down from the original A2 Panel Size so you could see the Pierced Circles Cutting Plate Pattern on the Lollipop card base. To finish the card, I added colorful Rainbow Rhinestones to the gold wreath design.

Ellen Hutson Monthly Challenge: May Layout Composition challenge

Hi Friends! I’m so excited that the Ellen Hutson Challenges are back!!! This month’s challenge is a composition challenge: Ellen Hutson May Essentials Composition Challenge. Be sure to check out all the challenge details for a chance to win a gift card!

For this month’s challenge I used the Good Day Stamp Set & Coordinating Design Dies with the Color Me Strips: Small & Large Designer Dies.

I decided to combine both the Challenge Layout with the Rule of Thirds Design concept by leveraging the full horizontal bottom line from the layout sketch and the 9-box grid with the sentiment, girl on the bike and sun/clouds on three intersection points. For the horizontal strips, I die cut Concord & 9th Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle and Grapefruit cardstock using the Color Me Strips Large Dies. Then I used the Color Me Strips Small dies to die cut the skinny gold strips. I adhered each of the strips to the horizontal line using liquid adhesive.

All of the images were stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and color with an assortment of Copic markers. I adhered the clouds/sun behind the girl on the bike and attached the girl on the bike with foam adhesive. To finish the card, added the “Good Day Sunshine” sentiment with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink.

Taylored Expressions Stars & Stripes New Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by and joining me for some Taylored Expressions Stars & Stripes Release Inspiration. There’s stars, stripes and everything red, white and blue for Memorial Day & 4th of July Celebrations. Today, I’m sharing cards using the Star Spangled Banner and Land That I Love Sentiments + Coordinating Dies with the Bokeh Stars Layering Stencil.

The Star Spangled Banner stamp set was designed to use ink cubes to apply ink to both the stars and stripes without any masking required! I used Blueberry and Cherry Pop ink for both flag impressions that I stamped to a Sugar Cube background and a white embossed+Sea Salt Shiplap Background for a weathered wood signage look.

For the shiplap version, I added Mini Strips Patriotic Sentiments in Red, White and Blue with three clay star embellishments and added an A2 Thin Border in Toffee Cardstock.

For my second Star Spangled Banner, I brought it all the sparkle and shine with a silver embossed On the Block-Brave Die Cut (with Red and Blue Glitter Shadow Die Cuts), A2 Thin Border in Silver Glitter Cardstock and Silver Foil Little Bits Star Die Cuts (I LOVE this die set—stars are my go to extra little detail and the sizes of the stars are perfect to add in as embellishments to tie a design together). To finish the card, I added in the Building Block-Brave Addition sentiment blocks in Blueberry Ink.

The previously released Bokeh Layering Stencil is perfect in Red, White and Blue. I have two cards for you, an A2 card in Watermelon, Blueberry & Sprinkles Stars and a Mini Slim card in Watermelon, Blueberry & Silver Happy Medium Glitter Stars. The Happy 4th of July and Stars & Stripes Forever sentiments are both from the Land That I Love Set.

The Happy 4th of July Stitched Rectangle Bokeh Star Panel was adhered to a Silver Foil It-Fireworks Panel for a little extra shine. To finish the card, I added Silver Cardstock Little Bits-Star Embellishments and adhered the layered design to a Watermelon cardbase.

For my Mini Slim Stars & Stripes Forever card, I added the Stitched Rectangle Bokeh Stars Panel to a Red Striped Patten Paper Panel from the Playful Patterns-Bold Paper Pack. For a little extra dimension, I added a few White Clay Star Bits & Pieces.

So there we are friends, four patriotic Red, White & Blue cards with a mix and match of the both new release goodies with a few older products.
