Taylored Expressions Fall Release Inspiration!

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! The NEW Fall Release at Taylored Expressions is now available and I have six cards to share with you using ALL the products in the Fall Release. For my five fall inspiration projects, I went with a boho color scheme using Raspberry Sorbet, Honey & Spearmint as my base colors and then adding in hints of Sweet Basil, Chocolate Truffle and Peaches n’ Cream. Plus, I have a bonus Pastel Rainbow Happy Birthday Card using What a Hoot Cling and Clear Combo + Stencil. Be sure to scroll to the bottom for the New Fall Release Promotional Deals!

An Autumn Blessings Trio

I used the Autumn Blessings Stamp & Coordinating Die to create a trio of clean and simple fall designs using the boho color palette. The leaf images in this set are big, bold and modern so they look great together or they can stand on their own.

For my first card, I stamped three leaves in Raspberry Sorbet, Honey & Sweet Basil and bundled them together with a large Gold Drip Drop against a double diagonal stitched square frame. The Give Thanks sentiment was stamped on the smallest stitched square in Blue Corn Ink which fit perfectly inside the diagonal stitched border. To finish the card, I added the decorated card panel to a Honey Card Base.

For my second card, I used the Ginkgo tree leaf image with the Swirls Pierce & Cute Plate for a “ leaf blowing in the wind” card design. Using the Splatter background stamp, I added speckles of gold heat embossing to Spearmint Cardstock which I then die-cut using the new Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate. I trimmed the cover plate image and popped-up several of the spiral images and adhered it to the bottom of a white card panel using liquid adhesive. I added three Honey Stamped & Cut Ginkgo Leaves to the card panel in a spiral motion. For extra sparkle, I added some gold nuvo glitter drops to each of the Ginkgo Leaves. To finish the card, I added the sentiment in Chocolate Truffle Ink, added a few Clear Drips Drops and placed the decorated card panel on a Chocolate Truffle Card Base.

For my third card in the Autumn BlessingsTrio, I used the Maple Leaf as my main focal image which I stamped with VersaMark Ink, heat embossed with gold embossing powder and then colored with TE Liquid Watercolors. Using my MISTI and Sugar Cube Ink, I stamped the Fineline Leaf Background to Toffee Cardstock which I then cut using the largest Stitched Rectangle Stacklet and adhered to an A2 Toffee Layer panel. I then gold embossed the Autumn Blessings Sentiment a Vellum Stitched Rectangle Frame and adhered the Gold Watercolor Maple Leaf above the sentiment with a thin 3D foam square. The gold embossed vellum layer was then adhered to a white rectangle panel which was then adhered to a Raspberry Sorbet Stitched Rectangle Panel. The top layer was then adhered to Sugar Cube & Toffee Fineline Leaf Panel 🙂 and all of the layers adhered to a white card base. Although this card had 6 layers, it is surprisingly flat for happy mailing.

Autumn ArraY Floral BOUQUET

The Autumn Array Stamp and Stencil Combo makes it simple to create stunning botanical cards. I stamped the leaves in Spearmint and used my blender brushes to add ink color to all three stencil layers. For the sunflowers I used Dijon with hints of Honey and Toffee & Chocolate Truffle Centers, the Roses are Raspberry Sorbet and the small blossoms are Pink Champagne with a layer of Peaches n’ Cream. Then I cut the stenciled and stamp image from the Autumn Array Coordinating Die and adhered it with thin foam adhesive to a Sugar Cube on Toffee Playful Plaid Background. To finish the card I added a gold embossed Handlettered “Happy Fall Y’All” Sentiment and Rose Gold Bountiful Blessings Harvest Mini Strip. The decorated card panel was added to a white card base.

Thanks for Owl You Do

The size and font of the Signature Thanks Die & Backer is absolutely stunning. The Signature Thanks was cut from Toffee and Raspberry Sorbet Cardstock (for a little extra lift, I cut the Thanks from toffee cardstock three times and then stacked them underneath the Raspberry Sorbet Thanks).

For my boho rainbow, I cut the Over the Rainbow Beams in Raspberry Sorbet, Peaches n’ Cream, Honey and Spearmint Cardstock. I adhered the rainbow and signature Thanks with liquid adhesive to a white rectangle stitched stacklet. Then I perched the cute little Honey Inked and Gold Embossed Owl from the What a Hoot Cling and Clear Combo with a foam square to the top of the “T”. To finish the card, I added the decorated panel to an A2 Toffee Layer Panel and White Card Base. But wait, I decorated the inside too with the new Inside Scoop-Thanks Sentiment Stamp Set and the rainbow heart centers from the Over the Rainbow Die Set.

Hoot, Hoot Hooray Happy Birthday

Hoot, Hoot Hooray it’s your Birthday!! I had SO much fun making this card with the What a Hoot Cling and Clear Combo and Coordinating Stencil. First, using my MISTI I stamped the Owl Background with Oreo Ink to Sugar Cube Cardstock. Using the Clear Stamp, I added the colorful pastel rainbow Owl Body and Feather Details using Strawberry Milkshake, Potato Chip, Mint Julep, Sprinkles, Lavender Glaze & Sea Salt Inks.

Then using a Nuvo Spatula I stenciled the leaves with Glitter Grab and added Lollipop TE Fine Glitter. For the sentiment, I used the Oh My Word-Happy Birthday Stamp and Coordinating die, along with a black and white heat embossed Hoot, Hoot Hooray sentiment strip from the Hoot, Hoot Hooray Clear Stamp Set. All the sentiments were adhered to a Stitched Vellum Circle Die Cut that was placed over the Pastel Rainbow Background. I love that the vellum provides a great sentiment focal point without hiding the Owl Background.

So there we are friends, a collection of boho-inspired Fall Projects + a bonus Birthday Card using the new Taylored Expressions Fall Release!! Be sure to stop by the Taylored Expressions Blog for more TE Creative Team Inspiration!

Taylored Expressions Exclusives Release Inspiration with Hi, Hey Hello and Off the Hook

Hello, Hi, Hey, How are you!? Have you seen the news—Exclusive Sets + new Coordinating products are now available at Taylored Expressions!! Exclusives are products that you could earn free with qualifying purchases and now some of these exclusive products are available to purchase! In addition to the Exclusives Release, there’s a sale on select summer favorites!

How about a little Retro Rotary Dial Phone Inspiration!? I had SO much fun with the new Off the Hook Die Set…I’m loving the retro vibe of the rotary phone image and knew I HAD to turn the rotary dial into a spinner card; especially a spinning rainbow rotary dial. All the paper pieces you need to create a spinner are included in the die set—you just need to bring one or two circle foam adhesives and a standard hole punch to the party.

For my Black and White Hello Rainbow Dial Spinner card, I prepped a piece of Oreo Cardstock with anti-static powder and using my MISTI I stamped the Hi, Hey, Hello Background using VersaMark Ink. Then I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder. I used the Off the Hook die set to cut all the rotary phone pieces from white card stock. For a fun pop of color, I used a selection of rainbow Copics to color each of the rotary insets and adhered each piece with liquid adhesive using the Embellie Gellie tool. Then I turned the dial into a spinner.

To create a rotary dial spinner, add a hole to the center of the phone base using a standard hole punch. The rotary dial’s center circle die cut will be your spinner disc. Attach a foam sticky circle (or two for extra pop) to the center of the spinner disc and then pop it through the standard hole punch. Then attach the dial die cut to the circle foam adhesive. You now have yourself a spinning rotary phone 🙂 Just make sure you add foam tape to the phone base before adhering to your card panel so it has plenty of space to move and doesn’t rub up against the card panel. Check out my Instagram Feed for a Video of the Rainbow Dial Spinner in action.

I added an Oreo Cardstock band to the bottom of the card panel and attached the rotary phone with foam adhesive. To finish the card, I added the white heat embossed HELLO sentiment from Building Blocks-Happy Additions.

To create the Hi, Hey, Hello Rainbow Background card, I first used my blending brushes to ink blend a card panel using my favorite rainbow ink combination: Strawberry Milkshake, Lollipop, Fruit Punch, Pineapple & Cookie Monster.

Then prepped the background for heat embossing by liberally applying anti-static powder to the panel. Then I stamped the panel with VersaMark Ink, added white embossing powder and heat set using my heat tool. I stamped the Oh My Word Hello in Oreo ink and cut it using the coordinating die. I cut all of the Off the Hook pieces in Oreo cardstock and used liquid adhesive to assemble all of the pieces into the Rotary phone.

I did extend the phone cord just a little bit by cutting the cord die twice and adhering the pieces together with liquid adhesive. For extra dimension and pop, I added Clear Drip Drops to the center of the rotary dial and the dial insets.

So there we are friends, two rainbow everything cards and one with a little spin using the Hi, Hey, Hello Background Stamp with the new coordinating Off the Hook Die Set. Today, I’m sharing four abstract designs each with a different color combination. The Abstract Accents Stencil with masking pieces is perfect for experimenting with layers so I mixed & matched colors and textures that I never imagined pulling together on one card.

To create a cohesive natural feel to each of the card designs, I used Toffee Cardstock for the Subtle Sprigs and Branch Out (sold separately) Die Cuts. For added texture and dimension, I added a few heat embossed abstract impressions & Oreo Stamped Organic Elements using the Abstract Elements Clear Stamp and Bits & Pieces embellishments that I had in my stash. All of the cards included an encouraging sentiment that was stamped in Blue Corn Ink.

Blue Sky Impressions

Color Experiment: Blue Corn, Salt Water Taffy, Sprinkles and Pops of Dijon

Textures: White Embossed Organic Elements and Iridescent Rhinestones

Desert Sunset Impressions

Color Experiment: Guava, Sweet Potato & Blue Raspberry

Love is in the Air Impressions

I hope you enjoyed my cards with the In the Abstract Kit and it inspires you to try out different color combinations. I absolutely love how the cards you create from this kit look like miniature abstract paintings with the most beautiful inspiring sentiments.
