Quick Weekend Card with Essentials by Ellen High five Stamp Set

Hi Friends! Hope you’re having a good weekend. Can you believe that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Today, I’m sharing a quick weekend card with the help of an oversized sentiment, washi tape and second generation stamping…and the cool thing is all of the stamps are from ONE Stamp Set—The Essentials by Ellen High Five Stamp Set. This set is one of my favorites because I love the sentiments but also the shape of the heart images in this set are perfection!

To create my quick weekend card, I first added two layers of washi tape to the bottom of a card panel. Then I stamped large hearts in Sparkling Berry along the side of the card—stamping twice before adding more ink to the stamp which gives you the dark and light pink hearts on the card (second generation inking). For a little extra rainbow, I added the small peach & yellow hearts to match the colors on the heart Washi Tape. I placed the stamped panel into my MISTI to add the Mondo Squishy Hugs Sentiment in VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink (my FAV for sentiments) over the stamped hearts. I really like how the all the overlay stamping created so much depth on the card while keeping it to one layer.

I did want to add a tidge-more dimension so I stamped two second generation hearts, die-cut and then adhered over two of the stamped images with foam tape and liquid adhesive. I added a few white gel pen shadows to the hearts and adhered the entire card panel to an Ebony Card Base.

So there we are friends and quick and easy weekend card ready for to send for the upcoming Valentine/Galentine holiday season. Thanks for stopping by and Mondo Squishy Paper Hugs!!

Today, I’m sharing three cards using the cutie pie Hippo, Owl and Giraffe Images. To get started, I stamped all the images with Oreo Ink and used Copic Markers to color in the images (with a few white gel-pen accents) and used the coordinating die to cut each image.

Sending Get Well Wishes

Mr. Hippo looks like he needs a good get well hug/card. I started by stenciling the diamond background with Gumball Ink. I ink blended a white cardstock Frame Die Cut with Cookie Monster Ink and added the Hippo behind the frame with clear tape. I added Mr. Hippo & his frame to the stenciled background with adhesive squares and glued the Get Well Soon Sentiment to the center of the frame. I added a Sugar Cube & Cherry Pop A2 Thin Frame around the edge of the card and for a little extra pop added a Red Gem to the tip of the thermometer.

Hippo Copic Colors: C01/03 & W2, R20/24/27, BG11/13, B02/05

Graduation Wishes

Owl You Great, Congratulations Grad! I love this clean and simple mini slim card with all the little touches of rainbow and dimension. I used all the easy strip sizes to create a rainbow pattern to the inside Frame Rectangle (I had a bunch of colors already cut from previous projects—Love it when this happens—and it will probably happen all the time now that I have the Easy Strips on hand). The frame was die cut several times with white cardstock and stacked together with liquid adhesive for extra dimension. I popped the rainbow rectangle back into the frame (adhering with liquid adhesive) and adhered the Owl with foam adhesive. Using my MISTI, I placed the frame to a Stitched Mini Slim Panel so I could place & stamp the Congrats, Grad sentiment in Oreo Ink with just enough room to add the rainbow gems. To finish the card, I attached the decorated panel to a Lollipop Mini Slim Scallop Frame & Card Base.

Owl Copic Colors: E30/33/35, N5/7, YR07/Y15

Welcome Little One

Welcome Little One. I have to admit, I’m pretty smitten over the little baker twine portrait hanger…the secret was adhering all the pieces to the frame and card with mini glue dots. With thin foam squares, I attached the Blue Raspberry Ink blended frame to a Box Top Stacklet and then adhered the Giraffe with liquid adhesive. I used my MISTI to stamp the Welcome Little One with Oreo Ink. I then adhered the decorated Box Top Stacklet to the Lemon Meringue stenciled Mini Slim Rectangle Stacklet which I adhered to a Lemon Meringue Mini Slim Scallop Panel.

Giraffe Copic Colors: Y08/15/17, YR07/14/15, BG13

I hope you enjoyed my projects today using the Taylored Expressions ADORABLE Oh What a Day Card Kit. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by the Taylored Expressions Blog for more Creative Team Inspiration. Big Paper Hugs!

Ink blot shop love notes card and enveLope set

Hi Friends and Happy Wednesday! Just stopping by to let you know my first blog post as an Ink Blot Shop Design Team Member is now up on the Ink Blot Shop Blog.

The Valentine/Galentine Holiday is one of my favorite cardmaking seasons with all the Hearts, Loves and Pinks & Reds. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I’m sharing an Embossed Love Letter Card & Envelope Set using the Sending Love & Stretched Sentiments Stamp Sets.

Envelope Decorating

For the decorated envelope, I stamped and embossed the Address Label from the Sending Love Stamp Set (Masking the Sun) with white embossing powder to a Kraft Envelope. Then I colored the image with pink/red and grey colored pencils.

Tip: When coloring envelopes, I insert a piece of cardstock inside the envelope before coloring. For colored pencils this gives me a nice flat/smooth surface to color on and for Copic coloring the cardstock insert prevents color bleeding through to the back of the envelope.

To finish the envelope, I stamped the Sending Love sentiment in VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink.

Cardmaking Details

For the Love Notes Card, I stamped and heat embossed the envelope images with white embossing powder to red cardstock and fussy cut the images.

I placed a white card panel in my MISTI, I added the red envelopes to the top of the card panel so I could position the Love & You Stretched Sentiments. Then I stamped the sentiments with dark red ink. I moved the card panel up “just a smidge” in the MISTI before stamping the sentiments with light pink ink.

To finish the card, I stamped a few of the cute little hearts from the Stretched Sentiments stamp set in red ink and adhered the decorated card panel to a pink cardbase.

So there we are friends, a Clean & Simple Love Notes Envelope & Card Set using the Sending Love & Stretch Sentiments Stamp. Thanks for stopping by & Big Paper Hugs!
