Let Love Grow Layering Stencil & Clear Combo Set

The kit’s layering stencil and coordinating dies is designed so you can grow/stencil & cut a collection of houseplants super quick! I started by creating a collection of pots by stenciling all the pots in two-color combination:

  • Collection 1: Poppy Seed & Sugar Cube
  • Collection 2: Peaches n’ Cream & Raspberry Sorbet
  • Collection 3: Oyster & Earl Grey

Then I created all the pretty greenery with two color combinations:

  • Collection 1: Dill Pickle & Kiwi
  • Collection 2: Cilantro & Dill Pickle
  • Collection 3: Cilantro & Granny Smith

After I had all my stenciled pots and greenery, I used the coordinating dies to match-up the stenciled images and cut out all the pots and plants. Super Awesome to be able to line-up the die to the images and cut them out at the same time!!

You Grow Girl

I was going for a boho vibe with the gold and terracotta colors. I added Gold Foil to an Essentials Patterns Foil It Panel and cut it to 3 inches. For added texture, I added the panel to a sugar cube dotted diamond embossed panel. The potted plant was adhered to a wooden plant (Toffee Ink Blended) stand from the Let Love Grow die collection which adhered to the center of a Ridged Circle Stacklet. To finish the card, I added the doe cut “You Grow Girl” gold heat embossed sentiment and adhered the decorated panel to a Peaches N’ Cream cardbase.

Peace, Love, Plants

I went for a modern monochrome black and white vibe for this next card with a non-foiled Foil-It Essentials Pattern Background. I adhered all three plants to a Rounded and Ridged (in Earl Grey) Rectangle Stacklet Frame. To finish the card, I added the black and white embossed “peace, love, PLANTS” sentiment and adhered the decorated panel to a Licorice cardbase.

So very Frond of You

I can’t stop giggling over all the punny and cute houseplant sentiments in the Shelf Control Stamp set and love how the font looks when heat embossed with white embossing powder on Licorice cardstock.

I gathered several houseplants with different foliage colors and planters and adhered them with thin foam and liquid adhesive to a diagonal stitched thick mini slim sugar cube panel. I added the “so very Frond of you” sentiment with foam tape and adhered the decorated panel to a Tropical Punch cardbase.

So there we are friends, a collection of cards using the Love Grows Here Cardmaking Kit. Be sure to check out the Taylored Expressions Blog for more inspiration from the TE Creative Team. Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!

Sending Sunshine Stenciled and Foil Card Duo

For my first two cards, I combined the kit with the additional Here Comes the Sun Envelope Seals, Foil-It Shine On panels and Shine So Bright die collection. I used the Minc Machine on heat setting 4 to apply Summer Sunrise Deco Foil to two Shine On panels.

I love how the Summer Sunrise foil leaves pretty shiny beams of pink, red, yellow and silver. I used the Shine On Layering Stencil to add Lemon Meringue, Pineapple & Strawberry Milkshake ink to the panels. For added color and interest, I added a Stitched Frame around one panel and die cut the other panel using a Stitched Rectangle Stacklet.

I added the Here Comes the Sun Envelope Seals to a Lemon Meringue and Lollipop Stitched Circle and placed it to the center of the beams using foam adhesive. To finish each of the cards, I added a black and white heat embossed Shine So Bright Sentiment and coordinating Mini Strip.

Radiant Rainbow

For my next card, I used the Radiant Cutting Plate to create a Rainbow Color Burst Thank You card in Strawberry Milkshake, Fruit Punch, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Cookie Monster & Jelly Donut Cardstock.

Modern Abstract Hello Sunshine

For my last card, I went for an abstract design using the sunburst images in the Clearly Crafty Here Comes. I stamped all the bursts with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and used the solid circle image to add Lollipop, Cookie Monster, Pineapple and Jelly Donut centers.

The Polka Dot Hello Sentiment from Big Hello was stamped with VersaMark Ink to Licorice cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. To keep with the sunshine theme, I added a Mini Strip-Hello Add-on sentiment just below the Hello Die Cut.

Cardmaking Kit Inspiration

Creating the Paint Brushes: I can’t get enough of the Paint the Town Die Collection that creates the realistic large and small paint brushes. For layered die-cuts, I always start with a white base and then add color with ink blending, markers or layers of colored cardstock. For a more realistic paint brush look, I used silver foil card stock as the metal for the ferrule and crimp portion that connects the bristles to the handle.

Rainbow Brush & Paint Splatter Card

For my rainbow brush & paint splatter card, I used the small paint brush die combined with the fun paint splatter image from the Splash of Color stamp set to create a rainbow paint mini-slim card design. I started by cutting six brush bases in sugar cube cardstock. Then I die cut the handles and paint using scraps of cardstock in rainbow colors: Cherry Pop, Lollipop, Candy Corn, Pineapple, Cookie Monster, Blueberry plus silver foil cardstock. I adhered all the brush pieces using liquid adhesive. Before stamping the splatter images, I arranged all the paint brushes and marked the place with a small pencil line at the end of the bristles. I removed the paint brushes, and double stamped the splatter paint image in coordinating rainbow color ink (swapping Cherry Pop for Watermelon).

After erasing the pencil marks, I adhered the paintbrushes to their coordinating paint splatter and finished the card with a black and white heat embossed sentiment from the With All My Art Stamp Set. To finish the card, I added the panel to a Licorice Card Base. I love adding rainbow card designs to a black card base as it really makes the rainbow colors POP!

Pastel Color Wash Wood Paint Brush Card

For my pastel color wash paint brush card, I used the Bold Brushes Layering Stencil and a little masking to ink blend the paint strokes in Strawberry Milkshake, Candy Corn, Pineapple, Sprinkles and Cookie Monster. The I had fun adding tiny black splatter using Poppy Seed Re-inker and a wet paint brush.

For the paint brushes, I ink blended toffee ink to the white cardstock die cut to create the wooden handle. Then I adhered the paint brushes to the masked brush strokes and finished the card with the Love You with all my Art Sentiment in Oreo Ink.

Rainbow Watercolor Background Card

For my watercolored rainbow background card, I used every brush stroke stamp image (minus the splatter image) from the Splash of Color Stamp Set. Like torn edges of watercolor paper, I used the Frayed Edge Stacklets to cut the background + an outer frame layer for extra depth & dimension. To finish the card, I added the With All My Art die-cut sentiment stamped in Oreo Ink and adhered to a circle vellum frame.

So there we are friends, three different cards using the Taylored Expressions With All My “Art” Cardmaking Kit. I hope you enjoyed my projects today and be sure to check out the Taylored Expressions Blog for more inspiration from the TE Creative Team. Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!
