Taylored Expressions Easter Release!

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! Hello Spring!! I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for the snow to melt, flowers to bloom, birds to sing and bunnies to start hopping! While it might still be winter outside, it’s definitely Spring in the craft room with the Taylored Expressions Easter Release! Let me tell you all the bunnies in this release are sooooo A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E—I can’t to show you what I created!

The All Together-Easter stamp + die it is SUPER COOL! It’s one stamp + die that cuts out ALL the little images at one time! One stamp + Die = 16 images!! Then when you add it with the Big Circles Cutting Plate it takes simple & cute cardmaking to an entirely new level as each circle is the perfectly sized to fit each of the All Together images! The other really fun find is that the Cap it Off Alphas fit perfectly in the center of the Big Circles. I couldn’t help myself and created two cards to make sure I could use all the cute images from the set.

Before using the Circle Cutting Plate, I did some tone-on-tone stamping with the Diagonal Diamonds Background stamp with Potato Chip cardstock & Ink and Granny Smith Ink on Lime Zest cardstock. I double-stacked the circle cutting plate and adhered it to a white card base. All the of the images where stamped with Oreo ink and color with an assortment on Copic Markers and white gel accents. I finished both cards with a heat embossed sentiment from Mini Strips-Easter.

All Together-Easter Supplies

My next card uses the Adorable I’m a Hugger-Bunny with the Present Treat Wrap & Basket Accessory and for the the background the He First Loved Us Stamp & Stencil Combo stamped and ink blended to Sprinkles cardstock with Confetti Cake Ink.

I die cut the bunny, tail and feet from sugar cube cardstock plus Cupcake ears and Sea Salt toes. Then I stamped the bunny face & nose in Oreo & Cupcake using the clear stamps that come with the set. To turn the bunny into a hugger you just need to fold the bottom of the bunny and attach his feet and cotton tail. To hug the basket, I used the Present Treat Wrap + Basket accessory, attached the basket handle and trimmed down the the bottom of the basket with scissors to fit inside the bunny’s hands. For the finishing touches, I added a white frill from the Treat Wrap Basket accessory and the bow from the Present Treat Wrap. The silver heat embossed Happy Easter sentiment is from the Mini Strips-Easter set that I backed with white glitter cardstock using the Mini Strips Backer die.

Bunny Hugger Supplies

For my last card, I used the Free Gift with Qualifying Purchase Be Hoppy Stamp & Stencil set. When you make a purchase of $100 or more today through Thursday, May 9th, in the TE webstore, you will receive the Be Hoppy Stamp & Stencil Combo set FREE! Stamp and stencil an adorable background of bunnies for your Easter and spring projects! Please note that this promotional set replaces our March incentive set during this release week. Offer valid while supplies last.

The Be Hoppy stamp is reverse background where you stamp the entire background in one solid color leaving the images the color of your cardstock (in this case…white hippity-hoppity bunnies with a Confetti Cake Inked background). I used the coordinating stencil to add the rainbow bunny tails.

For extra dimension, I added Bits & Pieces Clear Drip Drops using Nuvo Liquid Adhesive to each of the bunny tails. I die-cut the stamped panel using A2 Layer Stacklets which I added with 1 x 3 foam strips to a an Diagnonal Diamonds background in Oyster Ink. To finish the card, I added the pink & white embossed Easter Mini Strip and adhered all the panels to an Oyster card base.

Let the Shenanigans Begin! Taylored Expressions Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! It’s time for Green & Gold with Taylored Expressions St. Patrick’s Day Release! I’m a wee-bit Irish so I definitely love all things St. Patrick’s Day and oh my goodness…ALL THE RAINBOWS! If you know me, I love to rainbow everything so this is definitely a favorite cardmaking holiday for me! 🙂 I couldn’t stop creating with this release. I have several cards to share with you today and can’t wait to show you all my creations.

You’re My Pot o’ Gold

For my Rainbow’s End trio of cards, I started by die cutting several rainbow beams in Lollipop, Candy Corn, Pineapple and Cookie Monster card stock and the Pot O’ Gold from Licorice and Gold Foil cardstock.

For my first card, I arranged the beams in rainbow order to the top of a stitched rectangle panel. Using a foam square I attached the Pot O’ Gold to the center of the rainbow with two shamrock cloud die cuts. It’s hard to see in the picture but I also added a bit of glitter & shine to the pot with black glitter cardstock which I also added as star embellishments surrounding the rainbow. For the sentiment, I gold embossed the St. Patrick’s Day Sentiment from the Shake Your Shamrock Stamp Set and the You’re My Pot O’ Gold! Mini Strip. To finish the card, I added the decorated panel to a Jade Foiled Luck of the Irish Foil-It Panel.

For my second card, I used the remaining rainbow beams to create a trio of interconnected rainbows that I adhered to a rectangle stitched mini slim panel. For the rainbow centers, I added two gold foil Little Bits-Shamrocks with a gold embellishment center and gold heat embossed Lucky to have you as a Friend sentiment from the Shake Your Shamrock Stamp Set & Coordinating dies. To finish the card, I added the decorated panel to a scalloped frame and Blueberry card base.

For my third card, I foiled one of the rainbow Luck of the Irish Panels in Rainbow Shattered Foil, cut out the rainbow beam from the panel and adhered it to a white mini slim card panel. I ink blended the rainbow across the foiled panel and white mini slim card panel using TE Blending Brushes and Fruit Punch, Lollipop, Pineapple, Key Lime and Cookie Monster inks. At the end of the rainbow I added a Pot of Gold and the Have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day is a combination of building block sentiments and a St. Patrick’s Day Mini Strip. For a little extra shine, I finished the card with a Gold Foil mini slim thin border.

Let The Shenanigans Begin!

Oh, My Gnomes! I seriously cannot get over how cute the Gnomes look all dressed up as Leprechauns using the Lucky Leprechauns Dress-Up Die Set. For my cutie, I used an assortment Cardstock in Poblano Pepper, Licorice, Gold Foil, Peaches n’ Cream, Key Lime and Green and Orange Glitter Card stock. I just love the green glitter foam on the green beer 🙂 For the green coat, I colored a white piece of cardstock with dark green Copic Markers.

To create the background, I ink blended Granny Smith, Cilantro and Poblano Pepper to white card panel. Then using a MISTI, I stamped the Luck of the Irish Background Stamp with Poblano Pepper Ink on top of the green ombré ink-blended panel. All of the layers (Luck of the Irish Ink-blended background, Vellum & Sugar Cube) were die cut using the A2 Layer Stacklets. To finish the card, I stacked all the layers together added a few Bits & Pieces Lucky Stars and a White & Poblano Pepper embossed sentiment.

Taylored Expressions Valentine Sweets and Treats New Release

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday Treats! Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? It’s one of my favorite card make seasons…all the hearts, loves and sweets and the new Taylored Expressions has everything you need to create sweet valentine treats, tags, home decor and more!

Today, I’m super excited to have a guest designer with me (my daughter) sharing her fun treat tags using the Kid Valentine Craft Kit and extras from the release. Let’s take a look at her fun creations and at the end of the post you’ll find a Mini Slim Card & Three Treat Boxes using the new All Tucked In Valentine Windows.

Kid Valentine Craft Kit—FOR ALL AGES

The Kid Valentine Craft Kit is perfect for ALL ages…my almost teen had SO much fun using the Blender Brushes with the Sweet Treats Layering Stencil. I heard some giggle as she decorated/stamped the images with cute faces and sprinkles…especially the sprinkles hair on the ice cream cone, LOL. The great thing about the layering stencil is you’re creating 4 images that when you cut out into a four squares they fit perfectly on 4 3×3 notecards.

She changed it up a bit and used the Sweet Treats coordinating dies and created fun candy holder tags using the new Tag Treat Wrap Die for each of her friends. Underneath the white tag layer, she stamped TO and FROM using the clear stamp set. For a little extra teen-bling, we foiled the sentiments in Champagne Gold and cut using a paper trimmer. She finished up her tags with the cutest bows using twine and thin ribbon.

Color Combinations

  • Cupcake: Guava, Strawberry Milkshake (ink & cardstock) & Toffee
  • Popsicle: Cookie Monster (ink & cardstock), Blue Raspberry, Toffee, Glitter Grab and Sugar Cube glitter.
  • Donut: Jelly Donut (ink & cardstock) & Toffee
  • Ice Cream: Peaches n’ Cream (ink & cardstock), Toffee and Guava

Rainbow LOVE Treat Boxes & Mini Slim Card

The new All Tucked In Valentine Window Dies create the cutest treat boxes and are perfect for inlay card designs like my Mini Slim Card. Because I LOVE rainbow and Valentine Treat season means you might be mass-producing these treats and cards, I have a little hack for you.

Using ONE A2 Sticky Sheet Panel with 1/4” Easy Strips, I was able to use the one rainbow striped panel for four projects—the mini slim card (one vertical strip ~2.5 x 5.5) and all three boxes (cutting the striped pattern into ~1-7/8 x 1-7/8 squares). I added a black and white heat embossed sentiment to finish the heart & flower treat boxes.

Tip 1: Because the Valentine Window designs are close the edge of the All Tucked In Box Front, I first cut and scored/folded my boxes and then die cut the Love, Heart and Flower to the box front. I also used a metal shim to get really good embossed score lines and deeper inlay cuts.

Tip 2: To make sure the stripes in the background where aligned, I used a piece of clear tape to create a hinge and then adjusted the stripes on the square until straight. Then picked up the square using the hinge to add liquid adhesive to secure the rainbow striped square to the box, removing the clear tape hinge once the glue dried.
