Taylored Expressions For him Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! Hope you’re all enjoying the month of May. Today, is release day at Taylored Expressions with stamps, layering stencils, paper, dies and sentiments perfect for making masculine/dude cards. Today, I’m sharing six projects using many of the products from the release.

The Great Outdoors Layering Stencil Ideas

The Great Outdoors Layering Stencil & Clear Combo is perfect for mass producing card designs perfect for masculine card giving. With the one layering stencil you create four natural park themed focal images for your card designs AND they pair perfectly with the new Circle & Hexagon Stacklets and Circle & Hexagon Diagonal Stitched Dies.

For my four nature scenes, I stenciled the images with Blueberry, Gumball, Honey & Avocado Inks and die cut using the new Circle & Hexagon Stacklets. Once I had all my die cut pieces, I layered them with Toffee, Blue Corn and Sugar Cube bases along with adding embossed stitching using the Ridged  Hexagon and Circle Stacklets.

I stamped all the Dude Sentiment in Blueberry Ink and cut using the coordinating Dude Sentiments Die set. using the Dude Sentiments Stamp & Coordinating Dies.

Through the Woods Stamp & Coordinating Dies Ideas

For my second set of cards, I stamped the Through the Woods Trees in Poblano Pepper & Early Grey Ink and cut out each image using the Through the Woods coordinating dies. I wanted to create a retro mountain poster/t-shirt vibe for my card design and combined the stamped trees with a Hexagon & Circle Woodgrain background with & Easy Strips stripes in several widths and a handful of “dude colors” (yes, I added in a little pink and purple too).  To finish the cards, I added a Dude Sentiment in Poppyseed  Ink and a Man, Myth, Legend Chocolate & White Embossed Sentiment Strip.

This is a Dude Card Easy Strip Cardstock Colors: Dijon, Tropical Punch, Peapod, Sprinkles, Blue Corn and Chocolate.

Happy Father’s Day Easy Strip Cardstock Colors: Guava, Passion Fruit, Eggplant, Cookie Monster, Peapod, Granny Smith.

So there we are friends, six cards perfect for a special guy in your life using the Taylored Expressions For Him Release. I hope you enjoyed my card ideas. Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!

Taylored Expressions Celebrate in Style Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! Let’s Party with the new Taylored Expressions Celebrate in Style Release! So many party vibes throughout this entire release! Today, I’m sharing two cards using the Gift Giver Die Set and All Together-Birthday Stamp and Die. Be sure to stop by Taylored Expressions to see the entire release!

Let’s Party Gift Giver Shaker

I love a good shaker card and the Gift Giver Die makes it super easy to create a gift box worth shaking! To get started, I use the square die to cut out the back of the shaker with white card stock, then another square out of acetate for the shaker and then I combined the square die with the cut-out die to create the front layer.

I adhered the acetate square to the front square with the cut-out pattern using liquid adhesive. Then I turned the piece over and used foam strips to create my shaker “wells” around the outside squares and then the four inside squares. Once I had all my foam strips in place, I added pink, yellow, purple and teal tiny diamonds to each of the square wells. Then I carefully placed the white square backer on top of the foam strips which created the shaker element.

I love this indirect method of creating a shaker element that you can then place at any time on a card front background or even tag! Super easy and a great way to mass produce shaker elements and no fuss getting the placement just right 🙂 To finish the gift box, I created a Cookie Monster bow using the bow dies with a Sparkly Silver Glitter Drop Center. Be sure to use a pen or pencil to help you curl up the bow edges before adhering together. Then I added a Lollipop Embossed Let’s Party Sentiment to the center of the gift box.

To finish the outside of the card, I added the Gift Giver Shaker Element to a piece of vellum and silver embossed Party Vibes Background Panel.

For the inside of the card, I decorated a The Insiders-Birthday Wishes Panel with Silver Shattered Deco Foil.

Let’s Party Shaker Supplies

Hooray! It’s Your Birthday Mini Slim Card

Oh my goodness, the images in the All Together-Birthday stamp is SO cute and I love that you only have to stamp and die cut once!

I stamp the images with Oreo ink and then colored them with an assortment of Copic Markers. Then I used the images to decorate the Hooray Sentiment that I stamped with ink cubes in rainbow: Lollipop, Fruit Punch, Candy Corn, Pineapple, Key Lime and Cookie Monster.

The “It’s Your Birthday” sentiments are from the Building Blocks Milestone that I heat embossed to Licorice cardstock with white embossing powder and cut out using the Building Blocks Die. For a little extra interest, I added the Mini Strips Diagonal Stitching and adhered the decorated panel to a cookie monster panel.

Sending Sunshine Stenciled and Foil Card Duo

For my first two cards, I combined the kit with the additional Here Comes the Sun Envelope Seals, Foil-It Shine On panels and Shine So Bright die collection. I used the Minc Machine on heat setting 4 to apply Summer Sunrise Deco Foil to two Shine On panels.

I love how the Summer Sunrise foil leaves pretty shiny beams of pink, red, yellow and silver. I used the Shine On Layering Stencil to add Lemon Meringue, Pineapple & Strawberry Milkshake ink to the panels. For added color and interest, I added a Stitched Frame around one panel and die cut the other panel using a Stitched Rectangle Stacklet.

I added the Here Comes the Sun Envelope Seals to a Lemon Meringue and Lollipop Stitched Circle and placed it to the center of the beams using foam adhesive. To finish each of the cards, I added a black and white heat embossed Shine So Bright Sentiment and coordinating Mini Strip.

Radiant Rainbow

For my next card, I used the Radiant Cutting Plate to create a Rainbow Color Burst Thank You card in Strawberry Milkshake, Fruit Punch, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Cookie Monster & Jelly Donut Cardstock.

Modern Abstract Hello Sunshine

For my last card, I went for an abstract design using the sunburst images in the Clearly Crafty Here Comes. I stamped all the bursts with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and used the solid circle image to add Lollipop, Cookie Monster, Pineapple and Jelly Donut centers.

The Polka Dot Hello Sentiment from Big Hello was stamped with VersaMark Ink to Licorice cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. To keep with the sunshine theme, I added a Mini Strip-Hello Add-on sentiment just below the Hello Die Cut.

So there we are friends, a collection of cards using the Bright and Cheerful Here Comes the Sun Cardmaking Kit. Be sure to check out the Taylored Expressions Blog for more inspiration from the TE Creative Team. Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!
