Taylored Expressions Easter Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! I don’t know about you but I am SO ready for Winter to end and Spring to begin and even though there is still snow on the ground it’s Springtime in the craft room with the new Taylored Expressions Easter Release. Today, I’m sharing several projects using the Spring Squad Die & Clear Stamp Combo, Oh Hoppy Day Stencil & New Little Bits Die and the Rays Pierce Cutting Plate. Be sure to scroll through to the bottom to reach the New Release Promo Details.

SPRING SQUAD BUNNY, CHICK and SHEEPY

The Spring Squad is perfect for adding Eggstra-cutness to your springtime project with a little Bunny Hop, Chirping Chick and Sheepy Lull-a-Baas. I cut all the pieces in Sugar Cube cardstock and used Bitty Blenders to add color to each of the critters. The faces and cheeks were stamped using the coordinating clear stamp with Oreo and Cupcake ink. I adhered all the ink blended pieces with liquid adhesive and added a Rainbow gem to each of the Spring Squad Critters bow ties to complete their ensembles.

Bunny Hop Colors: A light brush of Sea Salt around the edges, Strawberry Milkshake for the ears and belly and Sprinkles for the bowtie.

Chirping Chick Colors: Potato Chip, Lemon Meringue & a little bit of Pineapple for the body. Candy Corn & Sweet Potato for the beak, wings, feathers & bowtie.

Sheepy Colors: Lavender Glaze around the edges, Silver Embossed Curls and Strawberry Milkshake bowtie.

To create my layered Easter Basket Tags, I added the Bunny & Chick to Sugar Cube Pierced Tag 2 Die Cuts which I then adhered to Pink & White Embossed & Lemon Meringue/Potato Chip Playful Plaid Stamped Tags. The Happy Easter Sentiment on the bottom of each tag is from the Full Circle-Easter Set. I used a standard hole punch for each tag and added a pink and yellow Tag Reinforcement. I used the Easter Tag Team Stamp Set & Tag Team Die to finish the tags with a Punny Matching Easter Message; Oh Hoppy Day for the Bunny and You are Egg-star special for the Chick.

For my New Little One Mini Slim Card, I added the Sheepy with foam squares to a Silver Embossed Twinkle Twinkle Background that I die-cut using the largest Rectangle Mini Slim Scallop Die. To finish the card, I added the Pink Stitched Rectangle White Embossed Handlettered Baby Sentiment Block to the bottom of the panel.

OH HOPPY DAY & BUNNY TAILS

The Oh Hoppy Day Stencil now has a matching Little Bits-Oh Happy Day! I can’t get over how adorable the Oh Hoppy Day Stenciled and Bunny Die-Cut images look with a cute little pom-pom cotton tail.

For my first card, I used the Oh Hoppy Day Stencil to create the pastel iridescent rainbow bunnies which I die-cut using the left and right Oh Hoppy Day Little Bits die. I used the Oh Hoppy Day Stencil as my alignment guide to add the bunnies in pastel rainbow order (Strawberry Milkshake, Peaches & Cream, Lemon Meringue, Mint Julep, Sprinkles & Lavender Glaze) to a Stitched Rectangle Stacklet which I layered to a purple gingham Stitched Rectangle Stacklet from the Sweet Playful Pattern Paper Pack. I added the pom pom and heart bunnie tails using Matte Multi Medium. To complete the card, I added the “Nobunny butt you” sentiment *giggle* from the Springtime Smiles Stamp Set and adhered the decorated card panel to a Lavender Glaze cardbase.

For my second card, I used the Oh Hoppy Day Stencil to add the pastel rainbow bunnies inside a diagonal stitched square. For extra dimension, I stacked several white cardstock Bunny die cuts and added a pink, yellow and blue gingham bunny die cut from the sweet Playful Pattern Paper Pack. I then adhered the bunny die cuts slightly offset from the pink, yellow and blue stenciled bunnies so a little shadow of color peeks through. I added the Bunny Tails with Matt Multi Medium to the peach, mint and lavender bunnies. To finish the card, I add the Lilac Foiled Happy Easter Reverse Easter Sentiment Strip and a Silver Embossed “There’s NoBUNNY like you” Easter Mini Sentiment Strip.

HELLO SUNSHINE-RAYS PIERCE CUTTING PLATE

I took a little Easter/Springtime detour with the Rays Pierce Cutting Plate. I love to find fun ways to sneak in a little rainbow and Hello Sunshine has to be one of my favorite everyday greetings for cards…so of course…I had to combine the Rays Pierce Cutting plate with a Rainbow Stack & Slide Hello Sunshine Sentiment.

The Hello Sunshine from the Joyful Joyful Stamp set was heat embossed in gold, die cut and adhered to a stack of rainbow Hello Sunshine Die Cut Shadow pieces from the Joyful Joyful Dies. I centered the Rainbow Stack & Slide sentiment to the center of the Rays Pierce Card Panel and added Tiny Diamonds-Bold in yellow and pink for an extra burst of sunshine.

Taylored Expressions Stencil Storage & Stencil Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! The new Taylored Expressions release is all about Stencils & Stencil STORAGE for both Mini Slim and 6×6 Stencils! Today, I’m sharing three Masculine-Themed Cards using the new Tidal & Prism Mini Slim Stencils and the Braided Diamond 6×6 Stencil.

Getting Started Note: Before starting any of my stenciling projects, I first sprayed all of the stencils with Pixie Spray to help keep the stencils in place while ink blending.

Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday-Braided Diamond Stencil

I added all of the ink colors, starting from the bottom of the stencil and working my way to the top of the stencil, moving from dark to light for the greens and light to dark for the blues: Cilantro, Peapod, Granny Smith and then Salt Water Taffy. I wanted to add a little texture to the depth/dimension of the braided diamond pattern so I sandwiched the stencil & ink blended cardstock with an Embossing Pad and ran it once through my die cutting machine which resulted in raising all the ink-blended diamonds from cardstock.

For the Sentiment, I stamped On the Block-Happy with Blueberry, Granny Smith+Peapod and Cilantro+Peapod and then die-cut using the On the Block Happy Shadow Die. I layered and positioned the Happy’s at an angle and adhered the On Repeat Birthday Sentiment to the last Happy Die Cut. To finish the card, I added white gel pen accents to each of the HAPPY sentiments and adhered the panel to a Blue Corn cardbase.

Grumpy Old Man-Mini Slim Prism Stencil

Hee, Hee…I definitely had a certain someone in mind for this Birthday Boy Card. A little snarky against a punch of color—yes, please! For my card, I inked up my Bitty Blender Brushes and stenciled my way to a fun and vibrant background in Poblano Pepper, Blue Raspberry, Lemon Meringue, Candy Corn and Pumpkin. I inked up the Mythical Grumpling Dragon in Oreo Ink and watercolor using an assortment of Karin Brush Markers (a quick note—instead of watercolor paper I use Bristol Smooth Cardstock which creates a smooth die cut colored image with similar results as Copics on Sugar Cube Cardstock).

I adhered the Dragon Grumpling to a Vellum Arches Stacklet to help ground the image to the stenciled panel. To complete the card, I added the Oreo and white embossed Asymmetrical Simple Strips from the Man Myth Legend Simple Strip Set and adhered the entire decorated panel to a Side-Fold Mini Slim Card Base.

Gus & Gertie Ride On Tidal Adventure

Oh, the Sparkly Waves! This was a Blender Brush workout project! It all started with a Sugar Cube piece of cardstock that turned into a light blue color by ink blending Sprinkles, Salt Water Taffy and Confetti Cake. I added the stencil to the light blue ink blended background to stencil the waves in more Confetti Cake and lots of Blueberry.

To add all the sparkle & shine, I applied a thick layer of Iridescent Happy Medium using a Nuvo Spatula. Gus and Gertie were stamped with Oreo Ink and Colored using Karin Brush Markers.

The Rectangle Stacklet Gus & Gertie Adventure Sentiment was stamped in Blueberry Ink. For extra whimsy, I added the start embellishments from the Gathered Stars die set.

Tidal Mini Slim Stencil Supply List

After all my projects were completed, I cleaned up my mess and placed my stencil into their NEW STAMP STORAGE BINDER & SLEEVES. Oh, have I waited for this storage method for my stencils; especially for all my Mini Stencils. I like to flip through my products so binders and bins are my go to storage solutions!! The stencils fit perfectly and you can fit 40 Stencils in One Binder while keeping a slim profile on your shelf!!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the entire release at Taylored Expressions and the Taylored Expressions Blog for more inspiration from the Creative Team. Big Paper Hugs!
