The new Easy Strip & Exclusives Taylored Expressions Release might just be one of my favorites! The Easy Strips came out during last year’s Stamp Joy and I’m super excited that they are now available in the Taylored Expressions Shop. The are SO much fun with endless possibilities. There was a LOT of stripping happening in the craft room, LOL!
Prepping & Storing my Easy Strips
Before I started all of my projects, I die-cut all my favorite rainbow color cardstock into all three sizes of the Easy Strips. This way I could have all the sizes in multiple colors on hand to design different backgrounds. This also created several piles of paper strips that required some storage and found that long Candied Pretzel Treat Bags were the perfect fit for both the strips and extra pieces of cardstock cut to size for easy die cutting later on down the road. I’m storing all my strips in a long storage tray that I picked up at Target.

Sealed with Love & ⅛-inch Easy Strips
The Sealed with Love Cling & Clear is such a fun set and I’m super excited about the coordinating die that cuts out several envelopes at once.

For my first Sealed with Love & Rainbows card, I stamped the background in Oreo Ink to Sugar Cube Cardstock. I used the Coordinating Sealed with Love Die to cut out several of the envelopes and stamped the hearts in Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow and Blue from the Clear Stamp. Using liquid adhesive, I added the ⅛-inch Easy Strips in rainbow order to the bottom of a white card panel.

After adhering all the strips to the front of the card, I turned it around and trimmed the excess strips from the panel (saving the trimmings for my second & third card below). Then I cascaded the rainbow envelopes along the side of the card panel with the end of the rainbow leading to the black and white heat embossed A Note to Say Hello Mini Strip Sentiment. Tip: Since I had a few leftover envelope die cuts, I double & triple stacked a few of the envelope die cuts for extra dimension.

For my second Sealed with Love & Rainbows card, I stamped the background in Sea Salt Ink to a Sugar Cube Card Panel. With Liquid Adhesive, I added the ⅛-in Easy Strips in Rainbow Order to a Stitched Square Die Cut, turned the square die cut over and trimmed off the excess pieces (saving the trimmings for my third card). I added two heart envelopes to the Rainbow Striped Rectangle with foam adhesive and then adhered to the Sea Salt Background Panel. To finish the card, I added the Sealed with Love sentiment with Oreo ink.

My third card was a Bonus Project. I love how the Clean & Simple Birthday Card came together so quickly from all the extra Easy Strips Bits & Trimmings from the first two cards. I sprinkled the extra trimmings to a white card panel and attached them with liquid adhesive.

I added the Birthday Wishes Gold Heat Embossed Stitched Rectangle Sentiment from Botanical Sentiments to the top of the Confetti/Sprinkles card panel and attached the panel to a Lollipop cardbase.

Flourishing Frame & ½-in Easy Strips
The Flourishing Frame Cutting plate is absolutely gorgeous with all it’s delicate vines/leaves. Because this is an intricate die, I used a metal shim as part of my die-cutting sandwich.

To create the background of the Happy Anniversary card, I used TE Adhesive sheets (which I first adhered to a cardbase) to add ½-in strips at a diagonal in Cookie Monster, Sprinkles, Eggplant, Guava and Fruit Punch. I cut the Flourishing Frame in both Sugar Cube and Vellum Cardstock and adhered the White Frame to the Easy Strip Background with liquid adhesive. To finish the card, I added the gold heat embossed Botanical Sentiment to the Vellum Rectangle and adhered it to the center of the Flouring Frame.

I did a quick White-on-White Inlay for my Thinking of You Card. First, I die-cut the Flourishing Frame from a White Card Base, removed the frame die-cut and adhered the negative to another white card base. Then I adhered the frame back into the negative as the inlay (only adding adhesive to the rectangle edge so I could pop-up several of the leaves and vines for extra dimension). For the sentiment, I added ¼-in Easy Strips to the top and bottom of the inside rectangle frame.

Then using my MISTI and MISTI Clear Alignment Panels, I stamped the Sentiment with VersaMark Ink and Heat Embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. To finish the card, I used Liquid Adhesive to adhere the Sentiment Frame to the Flourishing Frame Border.
