Happy Birthday Taylored Expressions!!

Hi Friends & Happy Tuesday! Have you heard the news…Taylored Expressions is officially a teenager and celebrating their 13th Birthday with a Birthday-Inspired New Release with Stamps, Dies, Stencils with Sprinkles on top.

Happy, Happy Birthday Taylored Expressions!!!

A big part of my creative process is starting with a color story. Since this is a Birthday Release, I wanted all my projects to be bright and cheerful so I took all my color queues from the New Sprinkles Bits & Pieces with Plum Punch, Cookie Monster, Lemon Meringue, Guava & Strawberry Milkshake. Then I added some glimmer and shine with silver & diamond embossing, silver foil and white glitter cardstock pops of paper.

Mini Slim Birthday Cards

For my first two cards, I went with the fun Mini Slim size. I Love how big and bold an A4 Stamped/Stenciled image looks on a Mini Slim Card and the size is perfect for mailing and slipping under some pretty birthday package ribbons.

For the first Celebration Card, I used the Piece of Cake Layering Stencil and Additions Stamp Set. I did a little masking and with the Bitty Blenders stenciled the rainbow cake layers: Plum Punch, Cookie Monster, Lemon Meringue, Guava and Strawberry Milkshake. Then using my MISTI I aligned the “Wishing You A Very Happy Birthday” sentiment to the cake and with a little masking I used ink cubes in matching colors to stamp the sentiment into the cake layers…some colors I stamped several times to get a darker impression.

Then I used the second layer of the Piece of Cake Stencil to add the base (with VersaMark Ink and Silver Embossing Powder) and Stars with Lemon Meringue ink blending. For the Candles, I stamped the Sparkler image from Additions Stamp Set with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I cut the entire panel from a Stitched Rectangle Stacklet and adhered it to a piece of Hello Sunshine Patterned Paper. To finish the card, I added Yellow Tiny Diamonds to the stars, a silver foil Mini Slim Frame around the edge of the card base.

For the Let’s Celebrate Mini Slim, I used the Party Time and Fill In the Blank-Birthday Cling & Clear Stamp Sets. Using ink cubes and a little masking, to stamp the Celebrate Word Art to a Mini Slim Panel. I then added a Silver Embossed and Purple/Green/Teal ink-blended Party Hat from the Party Time Stamp & Stencil + Coordinating dies. *For a little extra dimension, I also stamped the party hat in fun foam before adhering it as the A in the Sentiment.  To finish the sentiment, I stamped “let’s” from the cling stamp set with Oreo Ink. To finish the card, I added a Cookie Monster & Silver Foil Mini Slim Thin Frame and then adhered the decorated panel to Striped Pattern Paper from the Hello Sunshine Paper Pack. Then for a little extra fun, I used the Sprinkles Rotating Stencil with matching ink colors to create matching envelope liners.

Party Hat Time!!

Yay!! It’s Party Time!! Using the Party Time Stamp and Stencil Combo, I first inked up all the Party Hats in Rainbow Colors. I found that when I used ink cubes for the stamping, I didn’t have to do too much masking on the background stamp. Then using Sea Salt ink and Blender Brush, I stenciled in the Party Hat Toppers and Bands. For the confetti sprinkles, I used my Nuvo Spoon to add TE Oreo Glitter to Glitter Grab (also works with Glossy Accents) to create a glitter gel that I then applied using a palette knife with the confetti stencil layer. For the YAY, I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on Oreo cardstock and fussy cut the letters so I could place the sentiment on an angle with the Silver Embossed Party Hat and Mini Strips-Birthday sentiment.

Celebrate You!

The next card was SO much fun and super easy to make with HUGE impact and WOW…I wish I had a Sparkle/Glam Lens so you could see all the shimmer.

It all started with a rainbow ink blending with Plum Punch, Guava, Lemon Meringue and Cookie Monster Inks. Then I took my VersaMark Ink Pad and stamped all over the ink blended panel and added Diamond Embossing Powder and Heat Set.

I used the Celebrate You Cutting Plate with White Glitter Cardstock and fun foam for extra adhesive and adhered the die cut to the Rainbow Diamond Background. To finish the card, I added the Happy, Happy Birthday Sentiment from the Mini Strips-Birthday Stamp Set.
