Hi Friends & Happy Tuesday! Hope you are having a great start to the new week! The Taylored Expressions Creative Team is sharing fun ways to turn an A2 Design into a Mini Slim Design using the same stamp set and die collection. I’m sharing bright and cheerful floral A2 to Mini Slim cards using the Bouquet Whimsy Stamp & Die Collection.

I don’t know about you but our spring has been a little gloomy and I needed a little pick-me up so I brought the sunshine into the craft room with bright and colorful ink colors and a bouquet of happy flowers.

The A2 Design

For the A2 design, I did a little second generation stamping and color overlapping directly to a white card panel using Fruit Punch, Candy Corn and Pineapple inks for the flowers and Cilantro ink for the stems. Then I added the polka-dot centers with Oreo Ink. For the center bloom in the bouquet, using Strawberry Milkshake I second generation stamped the 5 point petal image and stacked them together and placed them in the middle of the bouquet with liquid adhesive. To balance out the Oreo polka dot flower centers, I added four Bits & Pieces-Black Drip Drops. To complete the card, I added a banner sentiment and adhered the decorated panel to an Oreo Card Base.

The Mini Slim Design

Taking color cue from my first card, I used a very similar color palette and incorporated the bold black contrast into the design using the Bits & Pieces-Black Drip Drops, Oreo & Poppy Seed Stenciled Striped layer and a white embossed on Oreo Cardstock Sentiment Strip. For the bouquet, I did change up the colors a little bit by adding in Lemon Meringue and Cookie Monster Florals and Key Lime Stems. All of the images were stamped and die cut and adhered to the stitched rectangle frame using liquid adhesive and thin foam squares which I then layered to the Black & White Stitched Frame, a Scallop Rectangle Frame and finally a Top-Folding Lemon Meringue Mini Slim Card Base.

So there we are friends, two cards in two different sizes using the exact same stamp set! I love how just a few little tweaks created similar yet very different card designs. I hope my bright and cheerful Bouquet Whimsy Cards inspire you to stretch your stamps into different card sizes.
