25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 5 with Ellen Hutson Essentials by Ellen

Welcome to Day 5 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags! I’m so happy to be participating in this year’s event while featuring some of my favorite holiday stamps and tag designer dies from the Essentials by Ellen line at Ellen Hutson. Be sure to check out Tracey’s blog for all the details on this year’s event and how you can join to win some pretty amazing prizes from this year’s sponsors!

For my tags today, I used the newly released EBE Tag Trio by Christine Herrin Designer Dies. The real-estate you have with all three of these die sizes is incredible. The largest tag is 4-¾ x 3 and that is what I used for the Santa’s Special Delivery Tag. For the Merry Christina’s Snowman shaker, I used both the middle square tag (2-½ x 3-⅝) and circle tag (the circle is 1-⅞)

Santa’s Special Delivery Tag

I just love how Santa is popping up from a pile of holiday presents to celebrate his Special Delivery from the North Pole. I combined the Bear Ware 5 Presents and Sleigh Image with the Santa from ld the Santa’s Wish Stamp Set. All of the images are colored with an assortment of festive Copic colors and then I adhered all the pieces using different dimensions of foam adhesive squares. To complete the tag, I added the sentiment and the back of the tag also includes a To/From using the Warmest Wishes Clear Stamp Set

Winter Wonderland Shaker Tag

This was a really fun tag to make and the addition of the little shaker provides extra whimsy along with the bonus factor that you also have yourself a little ornament to add to your Christmas Tree. I diecut the square tag from Ebony cardstock. Then with white embossing powder I heat embossed the checkered stamp from the Plaid Maker by Julie Ebersole Stamp Set

To make the shaker, I die cut two white cardstock circle tags and I also die cut one circle tag from acetate. For the backer of the shaker, I added Moon Dust Stickles for extra sparkle. For the front of the shaker, I found a smaller circle from my nesting circle die collection to create the shaker window. To the shaker window I then adhered the acetate circle tag. Then I lined the shaker window with adhesive foam strips. I added my shaker bits to the sparkly backer and adhered the shaker window to the backer. The snowman from Merry Little Christmas was colored with Copics and then adhered to the shaker using thin foam adhesive squares. To complete the tag, I added the Silver Embossed Merry Christmas Sentiment.

So there we are friends, two festive holiday tags for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Event. I hope you enjoyed my projects today and it inspires you to turn those card-making supplies into tag making supplies.

Big Paper Hugs and Happy Holidays!
