Hi Friends and Welcome to Pops of Paper! I’m so happy you are here because I am beyond excited to be invited as a guest during the Pinkfresh Studio June 2020 Pop Out Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop. I had a blast playing with the new pop out background stamps and the best part is they coordinate perfectly with the April 2020 Color Block dies!!
If you’ve been hopping along, you should have come from the incredibly talented Channin Pelletier’s Blog. You can find giveaway details and the entire blog hop at Pinkfresh Studio and at the end of my post. Next on the hop is the amazing Heather Hoffman.
I have two sets of cards today. For my first set, I created a trio of retro colored rainbow-themed cards
and for my second set of cards I created pinstripe backgrounds for your favorite gal or guy.
I created all of my cards using dye inks from my supply stash and the following Pinkfresh Studio stamps and dies:
June 2020 Release Stamps
April 2020 Release Stamps & Dies
Hello Rainbow Card Trio
For my first rainbow card, I used my MISTI to align the rainbow stamp on my card panel. After a bit of trial and error, I found that it works best to first line-up all the individual stamps on my MISTI. Then I placed a piece of paper over the stamps I didn’t want to get inky, then I inked up the stamp, made my stamped impression and then remove the inked stamp before moving on to the next color. I’m sure there will be more tips and tricks along the blog hop on using the Pop Out stamps but this method worked for me and it can be easily used to mass produce cards as well. To finish the card, I added a Color Block White Rainbow Frame over the rainbow stamped impressions.
For my next two rainbow cards, I did some free-form stamping. For my first card I created two rainbows in the corners of a card panel and then fussy cut and adhered to the corners with thin foam tape.
For my last card, I free formed the rainbow at the bottom of the card panel and then rounded out a sentiment to fit in between the rainbow beams. I think this might be my favorite card and technique and I know I will definitely be making more sentiment beam rainbow cards in the future.
Hello Handsome & Hello Gorgeous
I used the Pop Out Straight Stripes to create my Hello Gorgeous and Hello Handsome cards and for extra pop added white frames die cuts from the Color Block Strait Die set.
